Friday 19 September 2008, at 7 pm, the Galleria Torbandena will open a group show of its permanent artists.
A large canvas by Hubert Scheibl, that will also be shown at Vienna's Albertina in October, will be exhibited next to a new abstract painting by Cveto Marsic, as usual full of vitality and matter. All the imagination of the works of Simon Edmondson will be visible in a large oil painting on paper. Also on show is a splendid, big-sized tangle of lines by German artist Thomas Müller (one of his installations on paper was recently acquired by Paris' Centre Pompidou). And then the explosions of colours in the works of Carlos Matallana and of great Trieste artist Miela Reina.
The group show is completed by an ink drawing by Chinese writer and painter Gao Xingjian, the delicate collages on paper by Basque sculptor Carlos Lizariturry, who will also present two new sculptures, and finally by the works by young abstract artist Marco Grimaldi.
The exhibition may be visited until the end of October 2008.
