Galleria Torbandena opens, on Saturday April 23, a wide selection of important works on paper by some of most known masters of the XX century: from the historical avantgarde of the beginning of the century to the years of the abstraction.
The show wants to be a tribute to the paper, as a material in which it is easy to notice - some time easier than on canvas - the most intimate and genuine artistic genius of the painter:
a mixture of pure impulses, releases, contradictions and absolute high creativity moments.
The show offers some high quality works, some of them coming from private collections, dated between the 1910 to the 1960, from PABLO PICASSO to AMEDEO MODIGLIANI, from GEORGE GROSZ to GUSTAV KLIMT, from JULIO GONZALEZ to JOAN MIROš, moreover works by GINO SEVERINI, GIACOMO BALLA, GIORGIO MORANDI, NINA KOGAN, ALBERT GLEIZES.
At the second floor on show some masters of the great international abstraction: HANS HARTUNG, SAM FRANCIS, MARK TOBEY, AFRO, EMILIO VEDOVA, EDO MURTIC, ANTONI TAPIES and ROBERTO S. MATTA.
Opening: Friday April 23, 6.30 pm
The exhibition will close next June 12, 2004.
Timetable: Monday 4 pm - 8 pm; Tuesday to Saturday: 10 am - 1 pm and 4 pm - 8 pm.
