Galleria Torbandena will join the next edition of ARTE FIERA, which will be held at Bologna from January 26 to 29 of 2007.

Since the last edition, the art fair has given the possibility to the Italian galleries to participate together with a foreign one, so we have decided also this year to present a unique large stand of 180 sq. m. together with our friends of the Galerie Stefan Roepke of Cologne and Madrid.

Our proposal, as usually, looks at both the classic and contemporary art, dedicating a special place to the Italian and European Novecento with canvas by Afro, Felice Casorati, Filippo De Pisis, André Lhote, Zoran Music, Giuseppe Santomaso and Mario Sironi, and a selection of drawings by Amedeo Modigliani, Henry Moore, Pablo Picasso and Antoni Tapies.

The contemporary art will be represented with two new works of the Chinese artist Gao Xingjian, recent works by the English artist Simon Edmondson, for whom is also available a new catalogue recently published, the last production of Cveto Marsicand three impressive canvas by Hubert Scheibl, an abstract painter from Vienna to whom the Gallery will dedicate a solo exhibition in the spring of the present year. Moreover a huge iron sculpture by the Basque artist Carlos Lizariturry will be exhibited.

Our selection will be flanked by the works of the artists represented by the Galerie Stefan Roepke, among them we have the pleasure to inform you a monothematic place dedicated to Robert Mapplethorpe, a route through about twenty significant shots of the photographer from New York.
